ABOUT US

And how did Perco start?

The Perco® story began in 2019, when a 25-year-old named Rubén decided to start his own brand after spending 7 years in the textile industry.

Long before, around 2011, Rubén showed interest in graphic design, printing and the art of buying and selling. He always knew how to make a living, especially coming from a city like Cornellà de Llobregat.

In 2012, Rubén graduated with an Intermediate Degree in Preprint in Graphic Arts and later decided to study a Higher Degree in Lighting, Photography and Video.

While this was going on, he did an internship where he learned the art of printing t-shirts and sweatshirts, and it wasn't long before he bought a heat press to create his own creations. That same year, on the balcony of his mother's 40 m² apartment, he began ironing tirelessly.

It wasn't long before his work started to become well known, and he started creating sweatshirts with a rather famous horse, I think the brand is called Polo Ral... something like that. In his first year of Higher Education, he was already generating €500 per month, and later, in his second year, he managed to generate €2,500 per month.

With all that money saved, she was able to enroll in college to study digital marketing.

6,600 counterfeit brand clothing items around Barcelona involved

In 2017, Rubén went from having a small 2 m² room to renting a 125 m² space right next to his house, for just under €300 per month.

In that year, he was in his third year of college and had only one year left to complete his studies in Digital Marketing.

However, on June 27, 2017, while he was going to the premises, he met two police officers who gave him an order to open the door and show everything he had, since he had been denounced by Puma and Ralph Lauren for industrial counterfeiting. . Within 20 minutes, the street was blocked, with 20 officers on the premises.

He faced a sentence of 2 to 4 years in prison and a fine ranging from €0 to €100,000.

During the next 2 years, Rubén stopped dedicating himself to design, printing and everything related to his passion, and began working in various random jobs, as a salesperson, store clerk, as a technician for large format digital printing machines.

In this last job, he established contacts with various suppliers, and at the end of 2019, he decided to launch his first clothing brand: Percocet Company.

"MAKE BUSINESS NOT FRIENDS"

In November 2019, the first collection of Percocet Company came out: VOL.1 "PERCO". Although it wasn't a dazzling success, the first sale on the first day of release had Ruben saying, "That's it!" However, the reality is that things did not progress so quickly, since in 2020, with the arrival of the pandemic, the world stopped and everything was postponed. But when summer came, people started to go out again.

Many artists on the urban scene liked the Percocet Company movement, and the pandemic allowed Rubén to establish contact with many of them. The year 2021 marked the beginning of the "Make business not friends" movement and people began to understand what Ruben wanted to convey to the world. Beyond simply being a brand, it was a speech that sought to break all established barriers.

The premise was clear: "It doesn't matter if you fall, if you find obstacles along the way or if you don't have enough resources to achieve something, the important thing is to have desire, perseverance and discipline".

These principles were what led the Percocet Company to close the year 2022 with 1,000 orders, when in its first year it had only achieved 3. Currently, the Percocet Company has more employees, although not many. Aitor is in charge of the web theme, Xavi is in charge of paid advertising strategies and Rubén is in charge of everything else. The business continues to escalate levels, which has led to delegating more and more work.

This is just the beginning and we are in 2023. I leave this with an ellipsis so that it can continue in 2 years...
